The New England Patriots listed wide receiver A.J. Brown, TreVeyon Henderson, Christian Elliss and Carlton Davis III as questionable on Oct. 30 ahead of their Week 8 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.
New England has four questionable players and no one listed as out. Pats Pulpit reported the designations through Oliver Thomas, while head coach Mike Vrabel said the team would evaluate the players Saturday.
The Patriots and Dolphins are scheduled to meet Sunday, Nov. 1, at 4:25 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium. Miami listed Kadyn Proctor as out with a concussion and JuJu Brents and Reese Taylor as questionable.
Patriots Injury Report: Four Players Questionable for Week 8
Brown is listed with knee and ankle injuries after initially participating on a limited basis and then missing consecutive practices to finish the week. His current knee and ankle designations are separate from the earlier high ankle sprain that led to his injured reserve placement.
Vrabel said Friday that Brown’s status would be handled through the team’s Saturday evaluation.
“His status is questionable, like some other players. We’ll see how he comes in tomorrow and we’ll make a decision.”
Vrabel also addressed Brown’s Wednesday practice participation.
“Just like everything else when you come out of the game or a long week, practice on Monday and evaluate the player. Just wasn’t able to finish practice on Wednesday.”
Brown has played 101 of New England’s 122 offensive snaps since his activation from injured reserve. He has six receptions for 75 yards across two starts. His 101 offensive snaps across two starts reflect a substantial role since his return from injured reserve.
Three Healthy Wide Receivers Create a Roster Consideration
Romeo Doubs and Mack Hollins are on injured reserve, leaving three healthy wide receivers on the Patriots’ 53-man roster. Those players are DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III and Kyle Williams.
The three-player figure applies specifically to the 53-man roster. It does not describe every potential receiving option available to the organization.
If Brown is unavailable, New England would need to adjust its receiving rotation while Doubs and Hollins remain on injured reserve. Douglas, Chism and Williams would be the three healthy wide receivers listed on the 53-man roster heading into the weekend.
TreVeyon Henderson and Christian Elliss Also Questionable
Henderson is listed as questionable with an illness after missing consecutive practices. He has 203 rushing yards, 45 receiving yards and one touchdown on 57 touches during the 2026 season.
Henderson’s running back teammates include Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner. His production includes both rushing and receiving work, and his Saturday evaluation will be part of the Patriots’ final availability decisions.
Elliss is questionable with a chest injury. Pats Pulpit’s Thomas reported that the linebacker fully participated in practice during the past two weeks.
Elliss has recorded 51 tackles through seven starts, along with one sack and one forced fumble. His 51 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble through seven starts make his potential availability relevant to New England’s defensive plans.
Carlton Davis III Returns to Full Practice
Davis is listed as questionable with a neck injury. He returned to full participation during the week after missing three consecutive games.
Davis’s potential return would give New England another option in its secondary for the divisional matchup. His Sunday status remains tied to the team’s final evaluation of the four questionable Patriots.
Dolphins Injury Report Includes Kadyn Proctor
Miami listed Proctor out with a concussion. Proctor was selected 12th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft and has started all six games of his rookie season.
Proctor played every offensive snap during those six games and missed three consecutive practices while in concussion protocol. His designation is the only out status among the seven players included in the Friday injury designations for the matchup.
Brents is questionable with neck and concussion injuries, while Taylor is questionable with a quad injury. Both players are part of Miami’s defensive injury situation ahead of the AFC East game.
Patriots vs. Dolphins Week 8 Injury Designations
The Oct. 30 designations distinguish the Patriots’ four questionable players from Miami’s three listed players.
Vrabel reiterated Friday that the Patriots were focused on the divisional road game.
“We’re really here focused on trying to get a win on the road in the division.”
He also said the team would make decisions on its questionable players Saturday. The Patriots are scheduled to face the Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at 4:25 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
